Author Guidelines
General Information
IJAPM accepts original and unpublished manuscripts that are not under review elsewhere. Manuscript types include research articles, review papers and short communications in livestock production, management, nutrition, breeding and related disciplines.
Publication Charges
IJAPM is a paid journal. The following publication charges apply after acceptance of the manuscript:
ISAPM Members: 500 INR per accepted article.
Non-Members: 4500 INR per accepted article.
Membership fees of ISAPM are separate from the journal’s publication charges. There are no additional colour or page charges.
Types of Submissions
Research Articles should contain complete, original work with clear methodology.
Short Communications should present concise and significant findings.
Review Articles should provide comprehensive summaries of current knowledge.
Manuscript Preparation
Manuscripts must be written in clear English, with 1.5 line spacing. A standard submission must include:
Title page with author names, affiliations and contact details.
Abstract (150–250 words).
Keywords (three to six).
Introduction explaining objectives and background.
Materials and Methods with full experimental and ethical details.
Results and Discussion.
Conclusion summarising the study.
Acknowledgements, conflict of interest declaration and references.
Tables and figures placed at the end of the document.
References
References should be complete, accurate and consistently formatted. Provide author names, year, title, journal, volume and pages for articles, and full publication details for books. The style should match recent issues of IJAPM.
Ethical Requirements
Animal experiments must comply with national and institutional ethical guidelines. Authors must include ethical approval from an Institutional Animal Ethics Committee with approval number where applicable. Research misconduct including plagiarism, falsification or duplicate submission will not be tolerated.
Submission Process
Manuscripts must be submitted online via the journal’s submission system. Authors must ensure originality, proper authorship and conflict of interest disclosures at submission.
Peer Review
All submissions undergo double-blind external peer review by independent experts. Review comments are forwarded to the authors for revision. Final decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief.
Special Issues
Special Issues are coordinated by Guest Editors appointed by the Editor-in-Chief. Guest Editors must follow journal ethical standards. Final acceptance decisions for all Special Issue papers remain with the Editor-in-Chief.
Copyright
Upon acceptance, authors must sign a copyright agreement transferring rights to ACS Publisher. Authors may use their work for academic purposes but may not publicly distribute the final version without permission.
